Who I am (or was), surveys I did, courses I taught, reports and SPSS files I wrote (and still do) Mainly from my time as Senior Research Fellow (1970-76) in the Survey Unit of the then Social Science Research Council (now Economic and Social Research Council) and as Principal Lecturer in Sociology (1976-92) and Director of the Survey Research Unit at the then Polytechnic of North London (now part of London Metropolitan University) where I was known as "Mister SPSS". I took early retirement in 1992, but am still active in social (survey) research, including recording my experiences and developing teaching and research materials on this website.
There's a profile covering the period from 1963 (graduation) and my subsequent career in conducting surveys and teaching survey methods, plus a summary cv and details of my extra-curricular professional and political activities .
You can also see (all 20 pages) of my full Curriculum Vitae
